Some work asks for
company

There are places we can understand alone and still find difficult to enter alone. Private Work offers a steady relationship in which to meet those places directly.

You may already know the pattern. You can watch it arrive and name the trigger, and still find yourself repeating it when the moment becomes real.

You have some capacity for self-reflection, and the watching alone has not changed what happens next.

You have done therapy, read the books, sat the retreats, and something still asks to be met.

There is a specific relationship, response, or area of your life where the same thing keeps happening.

You are willing to work experientially, in the body and in real time, not only conceptually.

You want a direct, relational container in which to meet the patterns you find yourself repeating. Private Work begins there.

Private Work is not psychotherapy

It is an educational and contemplative practice centered on present-moment awareness, embodied inquiry, and the Shadow Integration Technique (SIT). We work with patterns, sensation, meaning, relationship, and choice.

It is not a substitute for medical or licensed mental-health care.

We slow the moment down. Rather than only discussing the pattern from a distance, we notice what is happening while we are together: breath, sensation, emotion, impulse, interpretation, and the places attention wants to leave. We don't only analyze the feeling. We meet it.

Our role is not to fix you. It is to hold steady in the truth of who you are while you find your way back to it.

This work was born from the direct experience of being held that way. The method, the structure, and the depth have been built over decades, to offer that quality of witnessing to others.

The work is direct and compassionate. We are willing to name what we notice, ask difficult questions, and remain with uncertainty without forcing an interpretation onto your experience.

What sessions include

01

Somatic shadow work

We don't just talk about the pattern. We work with it in the body, where it shows up. You learn to meet activation directly and build capacity to stay present with it.

02

Real-time integration

Sessions focus on what is alive right now. Not history for its own sake, but what is active, what is present, what is available to be met in this moment.

03

Clear, structured method

The SIT framework provides structure so the work has direction. You are not wandering. You are following a map into specific territory.

04

Honest witnessing

We see you clearly. We are willing to name what we notice and ask difficult questions, and to stay with what is uncertain rather than force a tidy answer. This is a relationship built on truth.

This Work Is
Not for Everyone.

It may not be the right fit if you are looking for diagnosis, crisis care, treatment of a mental-health condition, or a substitute for licensed clinical support. When those needs are present, appropriate professional care comes first.

It is for people who are genuinely ready to meet what they have been avoiding. Not when the conditions are perfect. Not when they feel ready. Now, because the cost of not doing it has become clearer than the fear of doing it.

We work with a small number of clients at a time, by design. This is not a content business. It is a relationship. And we protect its quality.

People bring this work
into the places that matter most.

The difficult conversation you keep bracing for.

The shame you have carried for a long time.

The honesty you want with your children.

The relationship you almost gave up on.

The fear of being exposed underneath your work.

The hours you spend alone with yourself.

The strength you perform instead of inhabit.

The purpose obscured by the patterns running you.

The energy spent managing yourself.

The boundaries you have found hard to hold.

The grief and the creativity you have kept at a distance.

This is not a peak experience. Not a temporary opening.

It is a practice you carry into ordinary life,
and the ordinary becomes enough.

Begin with
a conversation.

If what you have read here resonates, if you can feel the truth of it in your body, not just understand it in your mind, the next step is simple.

Reach out directly. A short conversation to understand what you are looking for, explain the work, and see whether the fit is mutual.

There is no pitch. No pressure. Just a conversation between two people being honest about what is needed.

You do not have to do this alone. If the timing for one on one work is not right, or you would rather be held in a circle, the cohort is the way in: a live six-week intensive with David and a small group, wrapped in a full year of community and support.
